American Dryer’s roots go back to 1952, when it was a division of Taylor, Mich.-based Masco Corp.  In 1985, Donald Rabahy left Masco (where he was a top executive) and purchased American Dryer to run it as a private company.  Today, American Dryer is based in Livonia, MI and is run by Donald’s son, Daniel (Donald remains chairman and CEO).  In June of 2011, the company expanded into a larger, 20,000 sq. ft. facility, where it’s complete line of products are Made in the USA.

American Dryer offers technologically-advanced products to serve the needs of all customer segments.  The newest innovation is the ExtremeAir CPC (or Cold Plasma Clean technology).  This unit builds off of the GXT model high-speed hand dryer (with its 10-15 second dry time) but adds the hygiene feature of bi-polar ionization to kill 99.6% germs in the air and on the hands of the user without the use of filters or chemicals.

American Dryer’s high-speed dryers include the ExtremeAir GXT and the low-energy (540 watts with no heater) ExtemeAir EXT.  Both products come with universal voltage systems, so that they can be adjusted to run and any standard voltage between 100-240 volts.  American Dryer also makes the Advantage (AD) and GX  hand dryer lines for the more economical customer.  The company represents quality, made in America products backed by excellent factory service.
