Dyson Announces 3 New Hand Dryer Products, MK II, V, and Airblade Tap

Posted on 2/3/2013 in Dryers

Dyson has announced a new line of Airblade hand dryers based around a new version of the Dyson Digital Motor, or DDM (v4).  The new line will include a lighter, quieter version of the aluminum cased AB02 hand dryer.  Known internally as the MK2, this aluminum AB06 will only come in a 110v, as Dyson is eliminating the 208v model.  The new V (a traditional hands-under style, also called the AB12, which is ADA compliant due to only a 4 " wall protrusion), and the Airblade Tap, a faucet with a built-in dryer based on Airblade technology, will all feature the v4 DDM technology.  The V dryers will come in white ($1,099) and sprayed nickel ($1,149) and is now available.  The AB06 is also available now, and will still run $1,599.  The tap, the first ever faucet and dryer in one will not be available until July or August.  It will come in 3 different sizes (short, long, and wall installed) and will run $1,899.   The AB04 will remain unchanged for the time being.  These exciting developments are the company's first expansion of the Airblade line of hand dryers since they added the AB04 to the AB02 5 years ago.  Here's a preview of some of the information available so far.
